Our Family Cat attacked a bird today, it was found bringing the small thing in his mouth. In a desperate bid to get him to drop it, we whacked the cat lightly over the head several times with a decorating tool.
The poor thing was alive and healthy but clearly frighted, so we plopped it into the back garden out of reach. It was not there an hour later, so I can only assume it managed to live!
What I can't understand is that I have known people to get furious at their own animals for these type of acts. But that makes no sense, since your buying a animal that is known for it's tendency to hunt for other creatures!
It baffles me to know people who kick their cats out when it manages to find a animal of prey.
=D
