  • I'm blinded.

I feel like apologizing to myself for not keeping up the blog, but it's been a busy few days. When I said I was going to get a job, my gleeful family decided to blackfire that on me, and forbid me from doing anything without: "Have you finished your CV yet?"

It's a tiresome prospect that I might have to give up a few days of my life doing something I don't enjoy just so I can fumble some pieces of valuable paper.

Hoping that some man might pop up at my door every day holding a giant check for millions of pounds so I can open my own business, or alternatively I find a job that I would actually want to do.

Anyway, things are looking up, as I believe I am convincing the owner of this site that I can spruce up his Forum page for free. That would look very nice on my CV!

My cat also came in drenched with water and mud yesterday... It's never pleasing to have to clean a cat that wants to scratch your eyes out.

  • Pets are there for you.

Just as I did, I choose to lay in today until embarrassingly late into the afternoon. (Don't judge me!)
So had my cat, who rather than wandering aimlessly in our garden, kept me nice and warm.

    Lovely things aren't they.

  • Dreaming upside-down.

It was really warm last night... And I always find that opening the window brings in a wonderful breeze that lulls me to sleep. But it was completely still, so I tried a few things to get to sleep...

I downed a glass of milk.
Read a page of a book.
Did a little bit of doodling.

But I still could not sleep...
For some reason I thought I might take the "flipping the pillow" system to the next level.
I reversed my bed pattern and placed the pillows at the foot of the bed. And I instantly nodded off.

I always find that when you sleep in unfamiliar circumstances you are more comfortable. Or at least, I do.

While I am talking about furniture I found this amazing video of "Flexible Furniture" called Flexible Love:

(Look for more videos, you can happily sit on this without it collapsing like it looks like it wants to)

A table that expands and contracts outwards with ease, like a puzzle:

At the most useless of them all; A Robotic Chair that repairs itself:

  • Hard work never killed anybody, but why take a chance?

I'm stretching my poor funds very tight lately. And the words: "I want a job" are slowly transforming into: "I need a job".
I'm so lazy, and find it hard to dedicate to anything, but most of all; The jobs I have lined up sound so boring.

Working on a till, spending all day standing up and trying to look pleased I am spending my weekends scrounging for cash.
This was a offer from one of my friends, who has been stuffing a application form in my face since Christmas.

I guess I could suffer doing some work, but I still have to come up with a dammed CV. Which of course I have no idea how to fill out, since my general skills are very basic. Unless "Playing Video Games" and "Eating unhealthy quantities of cool flavoured Doritos" counts as experience, I am truly doomed.

Being a Gaming Reviewer for one of those websites or magazines sounds like a wonderful venture! Had it not been for the surprisingly difficult lengths I have to go through.

All I know is, I won't take the ignorant cowards way out and become a Games Tester, from which I have heard is one of the worst jobs known to the Human Race.
It involves replaying the same section of a level over and over again flushing out every single bug you can find and writing endless pages of information down for the bug team.

  • The world is weird.

I found the scariest video yesterday, I find it hard to know if it's real or not. But the basic drift is that a 15 year old girl had sex with 15 different men over 300 times, in an attempt to get a baby.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRdJ49ItMnc

Firstly, if she is still not pregnant, then she is clearly infertile.
The host makes no attempt to help in any way, which is something I found very odd about the show... It seems like all the Americans care about these days is a interesting show.

But more importantly, what could possibly happen by taking part in this show? If the mother "really" wanted to help her, she would have gained personal council.
The audience clearly was not helping, if anything she is only going to be distressed by all this.

  • Sad.

We found the poor bird. Our cat is clearly ingenious.
But of course that is how the world turns.

  • You can't teach a cat new tricks.

Our Family Cat attacked a bird today, it was found bringing the small thing in his mouth. In a desperate bid to get him to drop it, we whacked the cat lightly over the head several times with a decorating tool.
The poor thing was alive and healthy but clearly frighted, so we plopped it into the back garden out of reach. It was not there an hour later, so I can only assume it managed to live!

What I can't understand is that I have known people to get furious at their own animals for these type of acts. But that makes no sense, since your buying a animal that is known for it's tendency to hunt for other creatures!
It baffles me to know people who kick their cats out when it manages to find a animal of prey.

  • Before I start firing blanks...

Well, firstly, I feel like I am forced to deny my own accusation. I did a "bit more" searching over the site, and was pleasantly faced with people my age and younger with superb writing skills, some even better than my own!

Secondly, this will be my last blog post before I make up what I write. I had these few topics in my head for a while now, and these first few blog posts comprise of my best attempts to recapture the idea I had for each of them.

I love gaming! I prefer to be one of the gamers who defend it and find they have plenty of positive affects. My favorite company Maxis helps back up my defense.
They are the creators of the Sims Series and the upcoming game Spore.
Both great games, and I suggest that everyone gives it at least a chance, especially Spore. A game I hope will rise to the position of Best Computer Game! It's already gained three awards!
I would suggest the Sims 3 had I not been aware that it's only really for fans of the series now.

On a side note, I also play the more bloody games, for example the latest Grand Theft Auto.
I hope in time I might get a place in the gaming industry. In the meantime, I am considering reviewing!

  • Scary

Just a observation, but I must be one of the very few people my age on this site who manages to use "real" methods of communication.
Everyone else thinks that TEXT SPEAK is the appropriate way to express yourself over a blog.

Go on, quickly search for everyone under eighteen, and look at their blog posts.

Admittedly it looks like this site is more of a adults juncture, but I would like to think it says a little thing about the people my age.

  • Ever tried making a website?

    It's hard.

I started working on (personal) websites about two years ago, that's ignoring the websites I had to create for my college course; especially since the past criteria was very low.

I have been mostly interested in community websites, that revolve around a forum, and feed off a strong member base. It means permanent traffic, good advertising chances and the site will pretty much run itself.
    Kinda...
You have to get it up and running first. I have found that so far:
    - Forum Hosts are bad, it stops you from doing "anything" you really want, and restricts you to whatever it is they are providing. I learned this early, and created my own website.
    - CMS Templates are bad. They might look flash, but it all boils down to one thing, unless you have a specific main topic on your site, your going to need a good template to grab the people!
    - Designing websites is hard. This is when my creativity problems comes into play, I have been spending a good month now trying to make my own website design, but of course if I was to pull it off, I would have a lovely custom site to show off.
    - If you don't have a proper domain, don't expect traffic. It's as simple as that. Having a subdomain is murderer, but nothing really substitutes a good .com domain.

I'm going to give up for a while, hone my skills. Maybe learn a bit more PHP to increase the amount of integration I can master. As for the website design? How are you supposed to learn how to do that!

On another note, the comment on my last blog post got me furiously working hard to make some sort of acceptable art, just to prove myself wrong. I actually managed to create someone worth looking at. I was pleased, and I got a pounding headache... But that must be a good thing.
